Many thanks to Adrian Abbot for these images and notes. Click on an image and it will open full size in another window. In that window you might be able to enlarge it further by clicking on it again. That will only work on certain computers. Sorry if this page is slow loading but I wanted to use maximum resolution images.
He also sent this note:
You may be interested to know that St. Hillarys care home on the site of the old school is now empty having been closed by the Council as a cost cutting measure recently.
Also, through another matter, I have been in touch with David Freeman, a teacher in the 1959 photo. I have told him of the school web site and hope to hear from him again soon.
I'll see what else I can come up with.
Cheers for now. Adrian, 16th March 2014
If you scroll down you'll find more images sent by Malcolm Townrow.
