The Demise of Bude County Grammar School in Pictures

Ray Boyd has found an image of the school being constructed way back in 1908. They are below. As usual click on them to see larger versions.

You may be interested to know that St. Hillarys care home on the site of the old school is now empty having been closed by the Council as a cost cutting measure recently.

Also, through another matter, I have been in touch with David Freeman, a teacher in the 1959 photo. I have told him of the school web site and hope to hear from him again soon.

I'll see what else I can come up with.
